lovework Jan 13, 2025

LoveWork is a reflective writing exercise designed for the students in our coaching programs at Loveology University. It offers a chance for them to dive deeper into their personal growth journeys, explore thoughts on love and relationships, and apply the principles they’re learning. Each LoveWork entry encourages our students to express themselves and gain insights, guiding them toward a more fulfilling, loving life.

Below is a LoveWork submission from Bianca Baymon, a Love Coaching Graduate

Write down how Covid has impacted Flirting and Dating.

Online dating was popular before, but now it has really increased due to COVID. Also, dates have become virtual with FaceTime, Zoom, and other methods.
In regards to flirting, it’s pivoted more to online flirting, social media direct messages, texting, and other forms of communication that require minimal contact.
Another interesting point is now the conversations are different. There are discussions on personal space and dating people who are vaccinated or not vaccinated.

Write a dialog between you and a Sexual Harasser, with a resolution that deflects your harasser.

Me: When you do that, it makes me feel uncomfortable. I’m asking you to stop.

Them: I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m just trying to flirt.

Me: I hear you and I’d appreciate it if you wouldn’t flirt with me. It’s unwelcome and makes me feel uncomfortable. I have made someone aware of your actions, and if it continues, we are prepared to take action. This is your warning.

Them: I’m sorry, I’ll stop.

Write a Research Study on the latest statistics on Consent and Safer Sex.

There are so many varying opinions on what classifies as consent, especially in regards to gender. In a survey by Planned Parenthood, 11% more women than men disagreed that consent one time for sex constitutes consent for sex in the future. This is concerning because there is a lack of education when it comes to what consent means and when to ask for it.
Younger people are engaging in more risky sexual behavior. In a 2021 study, the CDC reported that over 50% of almost 20 million STDs in 2020 were among 15–24 year olds. There needs to be more safe sex education to lower these numbers and make younger people aware of what their behaviors could cause.
